This is a really exciting time to join us in Cancer Services at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. This particular role is perhaps one of the most important roles in our department – the Charge Nurse.
The successful applicant needs to be experienced in the administration of SACT (systemic anti-cancer therapy) and supporting patients and their families with a cancer diagnosis.
This position provides a rare and exciting opportunity for a highly skilled senior nurse with extensive chemotherapy experience. Working closely with the Macmillan Matron for Cancer and Haematology, the post holder will be a member of the multi-professional team providing a management and professional lead for all chemotherapy nurses working across the Trust.
To lead together with other key personnel within Cancer services a co-ordinated and comprehensive service for patients with a Haematologyor Oncology cancer diagnosis.
Working closely with the Matron for Cancer and Haematology the Clinical Nurse Specialist will be an integral member of the multi-professional team providing a management and professional lead for all chemotherapynurses working across the Trust. An expert in all aspects of chemotherapy services, the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) will need to work in accordance to and meet the requirements of the relevant national measures and guidance.
To facilitate a seamless service for Haematology and Oncology patients providing the access link between the patient and the medical teams across Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire.
