St Andrew’s C of E Primary School is looking for a positive, enthusiastic and caring Learning Support Assistant / Mid-day Meals Supervisor to join a team committed to developing the whole child. Learning for life means learning the skills and values we all need to lead happy fulfilling lives, both as children and adults. Therefore, we prioritise these things throughout our curriculum and put a very strong emphasis on the importance of staff and all children living out the values of the school throughout their everyday behaviours and actions. Experience of working with children with SEN is highly desirable.

Salary:
LSA - WS Grade 3 point 3 (£22,737 pro rata)
MDMS - WS Grade 2 point 2 (£22,366 pro rata)

Hours:
LSA - 8.30am to 12pm and 12.45pm to 3.30pm (31.25 hrs)
MDMS - 12.30 to 12.45pm (1.25hrs)
Term Time Only

The successful candidate will:
• Support an individual pupil on a one-to-one basis, allowing them to access the curriculum within a mainstream class.
• Also support other children in the class, either one-to-one, or in small groups
• Have a positive attitude and be flexible to the demands of the job.
• Demonstrate the ability to use initiative.
• Be able to motivate, inspire and challenge children
• Be passionate about contributing to a culture of high expectations where everyone is valued and encouraged to succeed
• Be flexible, hard-working and highly organised
• Be a team player
• Have a minimum qualification of Grade C GCSE for Maths and English, or equivalent (NVQ Level 3 desirable)
• Be committed about raising standards and life chances for all children
• Work under the direction of the class teacher and Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo)
