CREDIT RISK ANALYST

WELLINGBOROUGH (HYBRID)

Arkle Finance are recruiting for a Credit Risk Analyst into a newly created role. Reporting to the Head of Credit you will support the management of the Credit Risk across working closely with Commercial and Collections to review lending and collections strategies. You will do this by developing and following up portfolio monitoring and providing insights to grow the loan book with the right quality deals aligned with our risk appetite.

The role is based in our Wellingborough head office, and you will be required to be onsite Tuesdays and Thursdays for collaboration with the Credit team.

We are looking to offer a salary of £35,000 to £40,000 per annum DOE. WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE

• Reviewing, validating and implementing lending strategies (new customers, existing customers) and future management of the Automatic Lending Journey through the Decision Engine.
• Collaborating with Collections to contribute with risk Insights to improve collections strategies.
• Collaborating with Commercial to contribute with risk insights to promote a risk-based pricing.
• Maintaining and recommending enhancements to the lending policy, process and procedures aligned with the Risk Appetite.
• Developing and following up the portfolio monitoring performance and providing recommendations to strategically grow the book while efficiently manage the risk.
• Developing and implementing the Customer / Broker monitoring to alert on potential changes on risk profiles.
• Providing stress test analysis for the different dimensions of the portfolio to identify future trends.
• Providing risks and controls for credit risk function. 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE

• At least three years’ experience in Credit Risk Analytics and lending strategy optimisation.
• A good understanding of the Asset Finance, Motor Finance or Consumer Credit industry with a good understanding of Consumer Credit Act, CONC, etc.
• Working knowledge of external data sources such as credit bureaus, fraud data, etc.
• Experience in SQL. Other programming tools such as Python would be an advantage.
• A strong numerate degree, ideally with a statistics focus.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
