Post Title:       Senior EHC Assessment and Review Officer

Salary:            Grade 12

Post status: Permanent  

We are seeking to recruit a Senior EHC Assessment and Review Officer to join a developing EHC Assessment and Review Team who will be responsible for representing the Local Authority at Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal ( SENDIST) and in SEND dispute resolution processes, including mediation. The role will be complex, fast paced, varied, and rewarding, working directly with parents, carers and professionals to strive to resolve concerns around SEND within Bury. The Team works in line with all the requirements as set out in the SEND Code of Practice. 

The role requires a vast knowledge of SEND legislation, close attention to detail, analytical and organisational skills, excellent communication and inter-personal skills, as well the ability to excel in working to meet deadlines.

We support employees to work with agility, where appropriate for the post and service requirements. The role requires the Senior Officer to be based in the office although agile working allows for 2 working days from home per week. Normal hours of work are 37 hours per week based around the usual business working week.
