Job description

This role has a starting salary of £38, 746 per annum, based on a 36-hour working week.

We are excited to be hiring four new Inclusion Development Advisors to join our fantastic Early Years SEND Team. The team is based in Leatherhead with each advisor providing targeted training and professional development opportunities to early years settings within one of the four quadrants in Surrey, as well as delivering training workshops countywide. The role involves hybrid working, supporting early years providers in a geographical area, work remotely (sometimes from home) and combining this with working from any of the Council's offices.

About the Team

The Early Years SEND Team work within Surrey County Council's Education, Lifelong Learning and Culture Directorate. The Team provides expert advice, guidance and support to the Early Years providers around the SEND Code of Practice and the Surrey Graduated Response. By supporting the identification of need early, the Early Years SEND Team can work with the SENCO to ensure that appropriate support strategies are put in place which promote and ensure inclusion.

About the Role

The Inclusion Development Advisor will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of continuous professional improvement, collaboration, and responsiveness to supporting children with additional needs and disabilities. You will lead and facilitate the development and implementation of specialised training programs for the early years sector, with a focus on autism, communication and language needs, complex medical and health needs and transitions. The role is designed to empower early years professionals through targeted training, coaching, and mentoring to ensure they have the knowledge skills and necessary support to create an inclusive learning environment.
