Lead Practitioner
With a specialism in Languages.
Teacher Main Scale or UPS TLR 2.3
Full time or part time from September 2024 on permanent basis.
We are recruiting for a Lead Practitioner to join the successful and thriving Modern Foreign Languages Department here at Cleeve from September 2024. We are very flexible regarding full-time or part-time.
We seek an outstanding Teacher of French / Spanish who can teach at A level, GCSE and Key Stage 3, and who can also play a significant role within the school as one of our ‘special forces’ Lead Practitioners. This post offers an excellent chance to work in a school where the quality and standard of Languages is high and where the Teaching and Learning vision across the school is incredibly exciting and all-pervasive. These types of roles are advertised very rarely, but they provide a wonderful opportunity and stepping stone into future Senior Leadership.
The successful candidate will have a good understanding of what highly effective and inclusive Teaching & Learning looks like for children of all abilities and be committed to enabling all students to access the curriculum in order to fulfil their academic potential and to the very best life chances.
Cleeve School is an exciting and dynamic place to work. We have also invested significantly into staff well-being and we place a large emphasis on celebrating diversity and inclusion. Our cyber and STEM work is also very exciting—with clear links back into Languages, which can be developed further. Our highly innovative ‘2030 Vision & Strategy’ has attracted a significant amount of acclaim. As a Lead Practitioner, you would have a key role to play in its delivery, at a time of wonderful school growth and expansion.
The school is an equal opportunities employer and committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and therefore expects all staff and volunteers, to share this same commitment. We particularly welcome applications from under represented groups including ethnicity, gender, transgender, age, disability, sexual orientation or religion.
Please apply using our application form available from our website.
Closing date for applications is 9am on Monday 18th March 2024.
Two Hedges Road, Bishop’s Cleeve, Cheltenham GL52 8AE
For an informal discussion about the role, please contact the school. Informal visits can take place on request.
