Packaging Technologist
Purpose of the role:
To work with the Research and Development Team, assisting with the creation, design and successful implementation of new artwork and packaging formats for our Kendal based manufacturing client.
Responsibilities
Experience:
Their ideal candidate would have some experience working in a packaging role. A food or pharmaceutical brand would be the most relevant background. You don't need to be able to design artwork yourself, but some experience of this is always helpful. You will be liaising mostly between the Graphics department and the R&D Technologists as they develop and launch new products - the overall Line manager is the R&D Manager.
Excel is used heavily in this role, there is a lot of data checking. Accuracy and an eye for detail is a must, as they will be working on ingredients list (down to the microgram!).
You don't necessarily need a bachelor's degree or even A-Levels, but English and Maths at GSCE grade C is a must.
