About the Pub
The Elephant and Castle is a fantastic wet Lead Pub situated in Warwick but a stones through from leamington. Famous for hosting pool and darts teams with a strong barrelage history. We are looking for somone to substantially improve current the retail standards and enhance the retail offer to move the pub forward in line with modern customer demand. The site currently benifits with the addition of the Beacon offer to ensure it is able to compete in the local market place with a value led drinks offer. The bar area is large and could potentially accommodate more covers than it does at present and would benefit from some modernisation. The lounge area has an open fire that creates a pleasing and warm ambience offering the perfect spot for groups to meet and socialise. There is an opportunity to host functions and events within the lounge and also introduce quiz nights and discos. There is an enclosed beer terrace to the front of the pub that is furnished with a Jumbrella, seats, tables, external heaters and includes a smoking area. To the rear there is a courtyard with double gates and with development would prove beneficial as it could be a significant, additional trading area. Regional Manager's Thoughts Situated on a main road, there is a fantastic opportunity for the new publican to attract passing trade by taking pride in the pub's curb appeal. This two roomed operation has significant potential to host functions and introduce live events. We are actively seeking a new publican to maximise its full potential and develop its retail offer. The successful applicant needs to be able to demonstrate an understanding of the fundamental basics of a wet-led pub business. Surrounding Area Warwick is home to Warwick Castle, a historical feature that attracts locals and tourists from all over the country. The town lies upon the River Avon and is 11 miles south of Coventry and west of Leamington Spa and Whitnash.
