Contract Mechanical Design Engineer 

OUTSIDE IR35 Immediate interview and start available.

6 months + contract

Fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work as part of a passionate and growing team on a range of complex, technically interesting projects.

Ideally, you will have the ability to take a senior/lead role in the Engineering team and have a blend of Design Engineering and Stress Engineering expertise.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will be responsible for: Working closely with the existing development team on new and existing design concepts.

Experience of taking a senior/lead role for the mechanical design aspects of the project

Ensuring all approval standards are met.

Undertaking design of bespoke products but also stress calculations as required (mix of both hand calculations and Ansys)

Liaising both externally with customers and internally with the R&D team

Mechanical Design Engineer  will have the following skill sets:

• CAD Experience either Creo or Catia preferred.
• Ideally a min of 5 years of Mechanical Design coupled with several years of stress experience.
• Aerospace or related regulated industry experience such as nuclear or similar
• Used to working to GD&T
• Complex equipment experience / rotating equipment or related
