Behaviour Support Worker – Witney, Oxfordshire
Special Needs School (3-16 years old)

Are you looking to support children with additional learning needs?

Do you have experience working with challenging behaviour?

An excellent Special Needs School which caters for a range of needs, including Specific Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) is looking for a Behaviour Support Worker to start ASAP. In this role you will have the opportunity to work closely with children who have mental health difficulties, display challenging behaviour and have learning disabilities.

This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate or experienced teaching assistant to develop their experience with Special Educational Needs and Behavioural Needs. A graduate with a degree graded 2:2 or above is ideal for this role and some previous experience working with SEN children is desirable.

The school is looking for a confident, dedicated and enthusiastic Behaviour Support Worker to make a real difference in to the lives of children and young people with special needs. As a Behaviour Support Worker you will be responsible for supporting the classroom teacher to enable them to teach effectively. This includes managing behavior, keeping children on task and encouraging them to engage, and communicate with teachers and their peers.
