Job description

Our client is a small independent UK business with 20 years of history in the Orthopaedics Industry. The business is currently undergoing significant and sustained global growth. In connection with this ongoing development, the business has identified a need for an energetic Sales Associate - North East England - Orthopaedic Implantsto join the burgeoning organisation in the UK.

The Sales Associate is expected to work with the local Business Development Managers in supporting their local accounts (supporting cases, checking stock inventory, booking kits, ordering new consignment, etc) and to represent the company in the highest professional manner. To adhere to the company policies at all times and to maintain and grow profitability by adherence to company pricing policies and stock controls.

Key responsibilities:

To support on an entirely exclusive basis, the company’s range of products as directed by management strategies.

To develop close relationships with ALL key personnel on the territory.

To provide all the necessary training in the use of the company's products, but never to assist in any surgical procedure or patient intervention.

To pass on to the relevant BDM any leads or opportunities that may present themselves.

To devote adequate time to acquiring the necessary knowledge of the company's and competitor's products required to be effective.

To undertake other duties such as attendance at sales meetings, exhibitions, staff training etc. when required by your manager.

To take part in stock checks of consigned stock as and when required.

To provide on a weekly/monthly basis a report to the Manager, outlining performance, activities, and competitive situation.

To ensure that hospital contracts are up to date.

To provide forecasts and market research information to management as and when required.

To organise and attend customer training sessions on the safe and effective use of our instruments and implants.

To be considered for the role, you must closely match the following criteria:

Education

Educated to a minimum of ‘A’ level or equivalent

Preferably Science degree

Experience within the Medical sector

Knowledge of NHS, hospital workings and anatomy

Expected Areas of Competence

Communication

NHS workings/ Theatre etiquette

Presenting

Numerate and literate

Travel requirements

A full driving licence

Willingness to support/ travel off territory to help colleagues from time to time
