Job description

Location: This is an all-island role, however the successful candidate can expect to spend the majority of their time at the Belfast location.

4c Executive is once again representing an ambitious and growing independent retail furniture business with a number of stores in NI and ROI; with plans for further store openings in the coming years. To deliver on its growth ambitions it is keen to appoint a Head of Logistics to ensure a scalable warehousing and distribution function while continuing to provide its customers with a highly efficient and professional delivery service.

Reporting to the Manging Director, the Head of Logistics will support the delivery of the business growth strategy, creating a warehouse and distribution plan which focuses on identifying and implementing efficiencies in the established operation in NI, as well as project managing the roll out of the new distribution centre and logistics plan for ROI.

The Head of Logistics will be a driven and influential leader, with a strong background leading and managing a warehouse and logistics function, characterised by continued growth in scale or level of responsibilities. Someone who is customer-orientated with a focus on quality of service and continuous improvement.

Additionally, the Head of Logistics will be required to have the following skills and experience:

• Experience of working with route planning and warehouse management systems and driving efficiencies through the effective utilisation and analysis of the same.
• Track record of managing a multi jurisdiction logistics function in NI and ROI.
• Experience of P&L responsibility and effectively managing a budget.
• Evidence of working in a customer focused warehouse and logistics function which has experienced significant growth in demand and has been able to adapt and grow to meet increasing demand and satisfy customer requirements.
