Job description
We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Executive Team as Chief Finance Officer.
As Chief Finance Officer you will:
- Oversee and control the finance function to achieve set and agreed standards, meet expected financial targets and levels of performance and ensure the needs of all stakeholders are met.
- Lead the organisation’s vision and strategic priorities and drive and co-ordinate the delivery of key organisational changes and improvement initiatives where relevant to finance.
- Lead and motivate a high performing leadership team ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe and cost-effective care through supportive and visible leadership.
- Be responsible for the role of Company Secretary.
- Contribute to the collective decision-making of the Executive Team and will take shared responsibility for the overall success and future direction of Everyturn and its strategy.
What you will do
- Manage the finance function ensuring the organisation is financially astute.
- Develop the finance strategy into actionable goals for performance and service improvement, taking into account the external and political environment, and implement goal setting, performance management, and annual organisational planning to support the longer-term vision for the health service.
- Manage the Finance Leadership team, including developing annual objectives, career development plans and other associated processes to deliver on strategic organisational priorities.
- Establish effective systems, processes and performance management arrangements regarding service delivery to agree and meet financial and activity targets.
- Drive service development and innovation across the Group to ensure continuous service improvement.
- Facilitate all financial regulatory returns and submissions ensuring they are delivered within the agreed deadlines to ensure the organisation remains solvent.
- Provide accurate, timely financial accounts and other information to comply with statutory requirements and enable informed decisions.
What you will have
• Professionally accredited accountant (CEMA/ACCA/ACA/CIPFA) or equivalent
• Extensive experience working within a change led organisation
• Extensive experience in relationship building and maintaining external relationships
• Extensive experience in the financial landscape and regulatory requirements for charities
• Extensive experience of managing a national budget in a health care setting
• Extensive experience and consistent achievement at a senior leadership level
• Extensive experience of advising others and presenting financial data
• Extensive experience in leading strategic estates and maintenance programmes
• Substantial experience of working at a senior level within a finance function
