A brilliant opportunity to work as a Software Developer for an exciting start-up in Uxbridge, which is making technological advances and solutions within the world of building access control and security – thinking up futuristic solutions which are convenient yet secure to allow access to workplaces, events, academic settings, making physical key passes a thing of the past. Location: hybrid working, currently based in Uxbridge, shortly moving to Central London office

Salary: £50,000 – £90,000 per annum (open from mid to senior developer applications) + equity in the business

Requirements for Software Engineer / Developer

• Degree from a top university in Computer Science or a subject with high Computer Science content
• Minimum of AAA at A Level or equivalent UCAS points
• Must be able to code competently in any main language i.e. C++ / Java / Python / JavaScript or C# – but with a keen willingness to learn new languages
• Strong problem-solving ability
• Absolute willingness to learn, with a proactive nature in asking questions to expand the knowledge base
• Natural ability to quickly pick up and learn new technologies
• Any experience in the following is beneficial: React, TypeScript, Python, PostgreSQL AWS, C++
• Ideally, you’ll have a GitHub and/or examples of personal programming projects

Responsibilities for Software Engineer / Developer

This is a polyglot development role, well suited to people who love learning new languages, working right across the stack, although weighted towards front-end, including:

• A web interface using React and TypeScript
• A mobile app using ReactNative
• Microprocessors in C++
• Processing data using machine learning
• A back-end on Python
• A database using PostgreSQL
• Cloud services deployed on AWS
