The role
We are looking for a Collections Team Manager.
The Collections & Recoveries team carry out all debt collection procedures with their own unique approach that is defining the collections culture in the peer-to-business market. This role reports in to the Head of Collections and Recoveries.

What will you be doing?
Manage a key delinquency Collections team and oversee the successful achievement of individual Collections Executives, departmental and business targets ensuring Investor returns are protected
Team management & development including individual performance management, coaching, progression goals, setting weekly/monthly targets over a broad range of KPI’s from talk time to cash collected and tracking performance against these targets
Providing team members with regular feedback and holding 1 to 1s, KPI reviews, call shadowing sessions and honing negotiation skills which drive improvements in cure, roll and default rates
Contributing to the CRL short and long term strategy and process improvements
Delivery of FC’s training and competence framework to ensure executives are supported and developed to reach their maximum potential and issues of underperformance are identified early and support plans put in place
Providing a quality orientated, highly borrower focussed service to all internal and external stakeholders which meets all aspects of the Quality Assurance framework.
Proactively problem solving, identifying and confidently mitigating any risks, issues or control weaknesses that arise in your day-to-day

What we’re looking for
Experience in leading a team and managing performance in some capacity and an understanding of how to coach, mentor and inspire people from a wide range of backgrounds
Proven ability in delivering strong performance and always taking ownership for your teams results
Ability to make and follow through on difficult decisions
An excellent negotiator with business acumen and commercial awareness
You know your figures and you are quickly able to analyse and interpret KPI’s
Being proactive in refining processes and finding smarter ways to work
