THE STANWAY SCHOOL
TEACHER OF SCIENCE
Pay Range: Teachers Main/Upper Pay Scale
Actual Salary from: £30,000 - £46,525
Start Date: 1st September 2024
The Role
We are looking to appoint a qualified and enthusiastic teacher of Science to carry out the functions of a teacher in accordance with the Teacher Standards and the stated aims and objectives of The Stanway School and the Department.
This is a permanent post. The Science Department is fully staffed, and the successful candidate will be joining a supportive and dynamic team in a calm and well-structured school.
The position will suit an experienced or newly qualified teacher.
Stanway continues to be rated as ‘Good’ in the last Ofsted inspection in June 2023.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:
· In consultation with the Head of Department, to plan, design and produce teaching materials and resources which are appropriate to age and ability
· Carrying out the functions of a teacher in accordance with the Teacher Standards and the stated aims and objectives of The Stanway School and the Department.
· Manage the classroom and teaching equipment so as to create a positive learning environment which makes effective use of available resources.

· Qualified Teacher Status
· A degree in the specialist subject
· The ability to teach “outstanding” lessons
· Experience of supporting staff and students in maintaining high standards
