Job description

Our client is an independent, family-owned business with over three decades experience in international wealth structuring and administration seeking to recruit an Assistant Accounting Manager, Guernsey.

Overall purpose of the role:

The Assistant Manager assists with the management of the team of Fund Accountants in order to ensure that work is prepared efficiently and to a high standard. The day to day role includes providing training to junior members of the team and assisting with performing reviews of deliverables as well as being a key point of contact for a portfolio of active Venture Capital funds under the direction of a manager.

Key responsibilities will include;

• Be a key point of contact for clients, auditors and other third parties alongside the Senior Fund Accountant.
• Supervise the day to day activities of Senior Fund Accountants, Fund Accountants and Trainee Fund Accountants and assist managers with the day-to-day operations of the fund accounting team.
• Delegating work to junior members of the team and providing training to Trainee Fund Accountants, Fund Accountants and Senior Fund Accountants.

The successful candidate will have:

• A recognised professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA and/or a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in finance
• Ability to understand and interpret fund documentation, GFSC regulations, including the Protection of Investors law and anti-money laundering regulations.
