Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Ballymena, Northern Ireland

Salary: £31,000 – £35,000 per annum

Hours of work: 6am-6pm (week 1: 4 day per week / Week 2: 3 days per week)

An opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Technician, responsible for the upkeep of plant and equipment at our client's leading organisation. This role entails ensuring compliance with established Health & Safety Standards while maintaining a range of equipment, including a computerised Batching Plant, mould equipment, and various machinery encompassing mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatics, and computerised systems. Additionally, maintenance of on-site equipment such as forklift trucks, HGVs, vans, and other vehicles is part of the role's responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain various machinery and equipment, including mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatics, and computerised systems.
• Perform planned preventive maintenance (PPM) tasks efficiently.
• Respond flexibly to breakdowns in critical processes.
• Assist in operator training sessions.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, quality, and health & safety activities.
• Identify and implement improvements to maintenance activities and work practices.

Requirements:

• Engineering qualification in maintenance/fitter.
• Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience.
• Relevant electrical qualification.
• Experience working with electrical equipment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Desirable Skills:

• Welding and fabrication abilities.
• Counterbalance forklift truck licence (advantageous).
