Job description

Teaching Personnel have an exciting opportunity to join a specialist SEN school in Poole, Dorset.

We are currently seeking a number of Education Support Workers and Teaching Assistants to join the school on a full-time basis.

The school is specialised in educating pupils with various SEN needs, such as Learning Difficulties, Physical Disabilities and other associated needs such as Speech and Language needs.

The school has a passionate and dedicated team that are solely focused on creating an enriching learning environment for each one of their pupils. They boast some fantastic facilities including a large hydrotherapy pool, multi-sensory room, woodland trail and their own radio station.

All of their pupils are encouraged to express themselves to the best of their ability through sport, drama, music, dance, art and technology. These activities play a huge part in their personal and social development and you will be key to helping them unlock their potential.

Applicants will be working in a classroom and off-site supporting teachers, teaching assistants and fellow support workers.

They are looking for individuals that are passionate about developing a career and will be willing to put you through training, including teaching training for dedicated members of the team.

This is an ideal opportunity for anyone who is fancying a change in career or if you have a keen interest in special needs.

Experience is preferred but not necessary.

Main Duties

This is a full time position working 08:30 - 15:30, Monday - Friday, term time only.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
