Job description
Press Brake Operator required for double day shift pattern (Monday to Friday) at Ipswich based engineering company. Duties for this role include:
• Set up and operate press brake machinery to bend, form, and shape sheet metal according to specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine machine setup, tooling requirements, and production specifications
• Select and install appropriate tooling and dies in the press brake machine
• Adjust machine settings to ensure accurate and precise bending of sheet metal
• Monitor machine operations to detect any issues or malfunction
• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
• Perform routine maintenance on press brake machinery
Experience required:
• Previous experience operating press brake machinery is required
• Proficiency in using hand tools for assembly and fabrication
• Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations
• Knowledge of sheet metal properties and characteristics
• Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve any equipment issues
