Automation Technician – Job Summary:

We’re supporting our client, a leading Packaging & Control Engineering company based in Essex, who are looking for a Automation Technician to join their growing team. The successful Automation Technician will have experience of PLC’s, Configuration and ancillary equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Designing PLC based electrical control systems from design specifications.
• Programming PLC, Touchscreen, and Safety Configurable relay systems.
• Configuring Remote I/O, servo motor and inverter drives
• Integrating ancillary equipment into the production lines such as vision systems etc.
• Fault finding electrical control systems, PLC, and hardwired systems
• Commissioning, support, and service work at customers’ sites

About You:

• Experience is always valued, although for this role, a firm grounding in control systems and PLC based control, would make an ideal candidate.
