Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Farnham
Start Date: Immediately
Daily Pay: £80-£94
Contract Type: Long-Term, Full-time GSL Education is looking for an enthusiastic
SEN Teaching Assistant for a distinguished
Secondary school in
Farnham to start immediately.
Ideally, you will be required to provide support to children who have SEN (including ASC, ADHD & SEMH) in groups or 1:1, within a classroom setting. You will have to be confident and able to work as part of a team, that challenge and support the progress of pupils.
As the ideal SEN Teaching Assistant, you should have experience in: - Special Educational Needs, Emotional, Social, Literacy, and Numeracy difficulties.
- Supporting young people with Autism, Speech, Language, and Communication Needs and have experience in using PECs and Makaton.
- Experience in managing behaviour, outdoor education, Lego Play, and Compass Buzz.
- Previous experience in a 1:1 support, personal care, or Teaching Assistant position.
- Experience catering to Autism/ MLD childrens.
Job responsibilities: - Cultivating and advancing the Academy's curriculum and atmosphere, fostering academic, social, and emotional growth.
- Evaluating student advancements and verifying that they align with the objectives outlined in their EHCP.
- Taking charge of the student's professional development by ensuring their active involvement in all educational undertakings.
To work with GSL Education as an SEN Teaching Assistant, you should: - Have the right to work in the UK.
- Possess at least 6 months of experience in an educational setting or the healthcare sector.
- Provide an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last 2 years.
- Hold a DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
