As Business Analyst Associate in the Graphite Migrations programme, you will work closely with relevant Product, Operations and Technology teams. You will identify solutions, drive prioritization, and deliver changes that support the goals of our Global Operations teams. Additionally, you will be working with product and tech leads to ensure new product offerings are built in accordance with strategic operational principles and that there is a seamless delivery to the operational teams.
Job responsibilities:
- Analyses, defines, documents, and prioritizes business and functional requirements for development and commercialization of target state products, processes and technology to meet the firm’s business objectives
- Articulates and documents process flows including customer interactions, operations interventions, end to end flows and data hand offs to identify creative and timely solutions to key program challenges
- Supports and conducts verification/testing of functionality, production flows and target processes
- Performs impact analysis for business initiatives to determine technical or operational process change for key business groups and conduct a thorough transition process to ensure that functional groups across Operations, Technology, and Service units are clear and informed on their respective target state models
- Takes changes end to end from business requirements through to implementation and posts implementation support ensuring there is a seamless and minimal risk implementation
- Carries out defect analysis, prioritization of fixes and verification of production functionality
- Supports planning, tracking, and reporting of progress of requirements delivery
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Advanced knowledge and experience in product/change delivery within the financial services industry
- Previous Business Analysis experience in the Payments industry, as part of transformation change team with functional and operational business focus.
- Good knowledge of ACH (Automated Clearing House network), payments, such as BACS and SEPA.
- Or good knowledge of Wire payments, CHAPS, Target2, cross border and cross currency payments.
- Understanding of the broader payments market
- Ability to build partnerships and work in a collaborative environment
- Creative problem solver, capable of developing innovative and differentiated solutions
- Solid record of success in supporting large-scale initiatives
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Analytical skills and diligence in written documentation
- Organisational skills, time management and project planning skills
- Communication skills and the ability to articulate a business requirement through multiple business functions and at various management levels
- Presentation skills, such as written, visual, and verbal, and meeting/workshop facilitation
- Self-motivated and driven to achieve targets and deliverables
- Experience as a product owner
