Salary: Up to £ 27,600 per annum

Location: Aston Clinton, Buckinghamshire

Contract/Hours: Permanent/Part time 28 hours (days) 20 hours (nights) per week

About the service

We're offering you the chance to be a part of the setting up of a new children's home in Aston Clinton, Buckinghamshire.

The home will provide long-term residential care for a young gentleman, this will be his forever home in which his team can give him person centred care. The underpinning philosophy of our home is to support our young person through a range of needs including Autism , and behaviours of concern.

A bit about the role

Our young persons care will involve professional practice that is sensitive to his very specific set of requirements. Our model will provide an environment where he will receive positive experiences of reliable, consistent and structured care, with very clear consistent boundaries.

We are now seeking a team of Senior Residential Workers to help us maintain the high standards of care our young people have come to expect from Action for Children. You'll do this by instilling your compassion,ambition and empathy in everything you do, always with our young person front of mind.

At the same time, we will provide specialist learning, training and supervision to speed your professional development - alongside a competitive rewards package.

How you'll help to create brighter futures

• Assessing, reviewing, planning, and providing a 24/7 care service in line with regulatory requirements
• Leading shifts and managing risks whilst maintaining high quality care that is safe, personalised and outcome focused for children and young people in our care
• Supporting with taking part in fun activities, learn new skills and work towards independence
• Supporting with personal care, communication, administration of medication and clinical procedures

Let's talk about you

• A Level 3 Social Care Diploma or equivalent or willingness to work towards
• Experience in Autism, learning difficulties and physical disabilities preferred but not essential
• Experience of clear, concise record keeping via IT systems
• Understanding of GDPR, Safeguarding and relevant policies
• A clean driving license with access to a car is preferred but not essential
