We are recruiting on behalf of our client who is looking for a HGV Mechanical Fitter to work on their depot site in Esher. This is a temporary role for 1 month in the first instance but will go permanent for the right person.

The role of mechanical fitter would require the individual to be capable, and show the flexibility, to either working under direct instruction from a Site Manager on larger projects, but also under their own initiative on smaller projects when a Site Manager was not present.

Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repair on various types of equipment and machinery
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Weld and solder components as needed
- Use hand tools and power tools to complete repairs
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area

Experience:
- Previous experience in equipment repair or a related field
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks
