Your new company
National Insurance Business is looking for a remote Financial Controller to be responsible for assisting with all accounting aspects of the Corporate segment. With particular initial emphasis on all aspects of Group debt - both internal and external. Further to the core responsibilities, the role will require adaptability and the completion of ad hoc assignments to support the Group.
Your new role Duties will include but not be limited to:
- To oversee calculation and posting of the debt/interest for both internal and external loans and the monthly hedging journals and maintain external and internal debt schedules / notes
- To manage inter-segment intercompany balances and reconciliation and oversee year end and quarterly stat pack preparation and balance sheet reviews / analysis
- Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts
- Oversight of Corporate AP and Group payment runs
- Reporting and analysis of Corp Centre results to function heads
- To assist in business partnering with corporate functions re budgeting & forecasting process
- Assist with cash flow budgets, forecasts, cash flow reporting, draft budgets to Group FP&A
- Assist with external audit teams queries, ensuring a smooth annual audit process
- Help ensure balance sheet reconciliations are carried out for all legal entities, ensuring all balances fully substantiated and reconciled
- Assist with IFRS16 entries
- Respond to tax queries / information requests
What you'll need to succeed The Financial Controller will ideally be,
- Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
- Knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
- Strong excel skills
- Budgeting and forecasting experience
