Mantra has supported the skills needs of the logistics sector for over 54 years and is an Ofsted rated grade 2 independent training provider. The Manchester site is well established as the largest specialist logistics training facility in the UK.
Our organisation provides training for people at all levels from supporting individuals to gain work to developing senior managers. We also strive to improve learners’ life prosects by offering programmes such as mental health and wellbeing, digital skills, English and Maths
Through our two key brands of The Job Gym and The National Logistics Academy and utilising several different types of government funding that we have successfully secured, we help thousands of learners each year to gain new skills.
We work with some of the biggest brands in the country, including Aldi, Wincanton and AO, delivering approximately 400 Apprenticeships, over 2500 Large Goods Vehicle licences and 1,100 Forklift Truck licences each year.
The role: The position will facilitate and provide effective support in the development and ongoing quality assurance of the standard operating procedures covering all aspects of the provision to ensure the quality of the provision is maintained, controlled and continuously improved, resulting in positive impacts and an outstanding learner experience with excellent teaching and learning.
Your duties include but are not limited to:
Teaching and Learning
Model and develop outstanding teaching and learning both face to face and virtually.
Model and develop outstanding apprentice and learner reviews both face to face and virtually.
Lead and facilitate quality assurance processes with the quality team and delivery managers to make effective judgements on the quality of education and put rapid improvement plans in place.
Strategic management of and delivery of initial teacher/tutor education programmes. Developmental learning, coaching and mentor support, including new starters.
Curriculum
Ensure that the intent of the curriculum across all provisions is maintained, current, detailed and communicated across the group with emerging national and local needs, the input of learners, employers, staff and other key stakeholders.
Support and facilitate how the curriculum is implemented to bring innovative and outstanding practices to all areas of the provision, including both face to face and virtual delivery.
Ensure effective impact is shown, measured and reported on for all learners and that this is maximised to ensure the best quality of education and progression for learners with the right careers information, advice and guidance.
Progress
Ensure and facilitate learners progress in accordance with their programmes and in-line with their personal starting points.
Showcase best practice for delivery staff to show progress of learners and accelerate progress for learners, including those with barriers to learning, e.g. special educational needs.
Use the learner management and reporting systems effectively to show and measure progress.
Quality Improvement
Support the Quality Manager in driving improvement of standards through pro-active quality improvement that is data driven; compiling annual Self- Assessment Reports (SAR) and Quality Improvement Plans (QIP).
Support meetings with employers and stakeholders to promote the organisation.
Education, Knowledge and Experience:
Essential
Teaching qualification.
Level 3 or equivalent experience.
Experience of working cross-department environment within administrative/auditing/reporting role.
Liaison with a wide range of people in a professional environment.
Experience of using management information systems to monitor, audit, track and report on data.
Experience of working in a customer focused service environment.
Experience in an education environment.
Desirable
Assessor and IQA qualification.
Safeguarding qualification.
Line management experience.
An excellent understanding of, and commitment to equality and diversity, safeguarding, British Values and Prevent.
