Location: Peterborough
Duration of assignment: 12 weeks

Rate: £40ph UMB

Our client in the public sector is seeking an Occupational Therapist for Hospital Discharge, focusing on assessing and providing interventions for adults and older people with physical and functional challenges within the community. This role includes managing specialist housing adaptations and equipment needs, emphasizing rehabilitation and health promotion. The successful candidate will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure best practice and knowledge consolidation.
Responsibilities also encompass assessing functional needs, formulating intervention plans for complex cases, and managing a caseload of challenging needs autonomously.
Essential skills include in-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, housing adaptations, and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of clients.
Flexibility to work from home for write-ups but may be required to undertake assessments in Peterborough any day of the week.
