Job description
Step Teachers are currently looking for a part-time English Teacher for three and a half days from January with the possibility of being extended to permanent.
The school determination is shaped to ensure that every child has a positive and memorable experience at school that allows them to thrive and be happy. They focus on opportunities to develop teaching and learning at every turn.
Role:
Good knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 English
Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons
Maintain an organised and professional classroom with all of the associated resources
Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school
Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback
Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these
Requirements:
Hold QTS or equivalent qualification for teaching in secondary school
Have recent mainstream school-based experience teaching English at secondary school level
Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
A relevant English related degree is desirable
SEND experience is desirable
