We are currently seeking a diligent and experienced Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Engineer specialized in Mechanical Engineering for our prestigious Bridges and Tunnel Project in Madinah, KSA. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Your new role, what's involved?
- Develop and implement QA/QC plans, procedures, and protocols specific to mechanical engineering aspects of bridges and tunnel construction projects.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform thorough review and approval of mechanical design drawings, technical documents, and material submittals.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to identify and resolve quality-related issues promptly.
- Conduct testing and evaluation of mechanical systems, equipment, and components to validate performance and reliability.
- Monitor construction activities, including installation, commissioning, and testing of mechanical systems, ensuring adherence to QA/QC standards.
- Document and report non-conformities, deviations, and corrective actions taken, maintaining comprehensive records for quality assurance purposes.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams on matters related to mechanical engineering quality control.
- Participate in project meetings, reviews, and inspections, communicating QA/QC requirements and recommendations effectively.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes relevant to mechanical engineering in bridges and tunnel construction.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in QA/QC roles within the construction industry, preferably on large-scale infrastructure projects involving bridges and tunnels.
- Solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles, standards, and practices applicable to infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents related to mechanical systems.
- Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards such as ASME, ASTM, ACI, and AISC.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) and quality assurance tools and techniques.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Certification in Quality Management (e.g., Certified Quality Engineer) or related credentials is desirable.
