English Specialist to work at Client Secondary Schools in Driffield and the surrounding areas, starting
February 2024 .
As an
English Specialist at GSL Education, you will teach GCSE students a combination of English Language and English Literature. This is an excellent opportunity for teachers seeking a flexible work-life balance or who simply want to gain new experience.
Responsibilities – English Specialist: - Develop and teach engaging English Literature and Language lessons in Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Provide a well-balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum for students, with support for specific areas as needed.
- Build positive relationships with parents, teachers, and students.
- Ensure high student achievement through effective leadership and supervision.
- Enhance personal development in subject knowledge and teaching methods.
Requirements – English Specialist: - Have UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and specialise in teaching English Language and Literature to GCSE level.
- Provide references for teaching experience within the last 2 years, including placements for NQTs or ECTs.
- Be a motivating and innovative teacher who can engage students of all levels.
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be willing to complete additional training if necessary.
- Hold an enhanced child workforce DBS, registered on the update service, or be willing to obtain one.
