We are also currently working closely with our neighbouring acute Trust BHRUT to review our future integrated stroke acute and community pathway. As such there may be opportunities for greater collaborative joint working in the future. You will be responsible for the assessment and treatment planning of those referred to the service and have the opportunity to develop and enhance your existing clinical skills. You will take a role in the leadership of junior staff and rehabilitation assistants, through supervision, training and appraisal whilst also being involved in the on-going development of the service. Essential Criteria for the post include: Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy and current HCPC registration Clinical expertise and experience within the specialist of stroke Stroke and neurology. Previous experience in an inpatient stroke rehab setting is an asset. To be able to travel efficiently throughout the boroughs of Havering and Barking and Dagenham We are looking for a candidate who is a team player, enthusiastic, flexible and who possess excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills. Pending interview, a B6/7 development role may be considered if the successful candidate does not quite have the full post graduate stroke/neurology experience required for a B7 position as detailed in the person spec.
