Senior Accountant who is either ACA or ACCA qualified or QBE / Qualified by Experience with a proven history of managing a client portfolio is required for a Chartered Accountancy Practice based in Acton, West London.
SALARY: up to £50,000 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience) + Profit Share LOCATION: Hybrid Working. Candidates must live within a commutable distance to the office in Acton, West London JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent WORKING HOURS: 9am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday JOB OVERVIEW We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Senior Accountant who is either ACA or ACCA qualified or QBE / Qualified by Experience with a proven history of managing a client portfolio. Working as the Senior Accountant you will be responsible for overseeing and servicing your clients needs on an accurate and timely basis. As the Senior Accountant you will need previous experience working within an accountancy practice with strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices. This is a Hybrid role and you will need to live within a commutable distance to Acton, West London. DUTIES Your duties as a Senior Accountant include: • Managing and finalising accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships, LLP's and Limited Companies using Iris Accounts production and VT+ software and iXBRL filing with HMRC / Companies House • Leading client meetings to review accounts and provide necessary advice on financial statements i.e. dividend and overdrawn DCA implications, etc. • Managing and control of VAT returns for all clients and timely filing • Liaising and interacting with clients to complete personal and company tax returns • Training and mentoring new starters when required • Managing back-office workload, effectively communicating with the clients, resolving issues and queries. Review back-office accounting papers and provide feedback • Production of management accounts and review with clients • Liaising and corresponding with HMRC and Companies House where necessary • Promptly responding to client's needs • Ability to carry out research on tax and other matters • Dealing with HMRC various campaigns (e.g. Let PropertyCampaign) CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS • A professional qualification either ACA or ACCA. Qualification by solid experience will be considered • Must have previous experience working in an accountancy practice • Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices • Proficiency in using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, VT+• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data • Solid understanding of financial management principles • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and good command of English both verbal and written • Able to work efficiently and able to prioritise work during busy periods HOW TO APPLY To be considered for this job vacancy, please submit your CV to our Recruitment Team who will review your details.
