Job description
My client is an established supplier of Plant Machinery across the UK and are looking to recruit a capable Service Engineer. It is expected that the successful candidate will come from a field service background, have strong experience in both the Mechanical and Electrical elements of heavy plant or agricultural machinery. You must also have a UK Driving Licence.
Service Engineer Position Overview
- Service and maintain a range of plant machinery
- Fault finding, diagnosis and repair on engines, hydraulics, transmissions and electrics
- Working at the depot and customer sites in the local area
- Ordering parts
- Meeting and speaking with customers and providing solutions to their requirements
- Using electronic devices to accurately report faults
- Paying attention to detail
- Receiving product training. Progression opportunities also available
Service Engineer Position Requirements
- Ideally NVQ Level 3 Engineering, but level 2 also considered
- Experience maintaining plant or agricultural machinery is a must, including diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions and electrics
- Ability to write up engineering reports on machinery faults
- Must have your own tools but some specialist tools provided
- Happy to travel within an hour of the depot
- Full UK Driving licence
- Based within commutable distance of Bodmin
Service Engineer Position Remuneration
- Salary £15.00 - £18.00 per hour
- Overtime paid at 1.5x, over 4 hours is paid at 2x
- Company vehicle provided
- Hours Monday - Friday 08:00 - 17:00 with some weekend work required
- 23 days holidays plus bank holidays
- Christmas Shutdown
