Job description
Our client is seeking an experienced HR professional to join them on a contract basis for 6-9 months commencing in April 2024.
The Employee Relations Manager is a key role in leading a compassionate approach and culture in the way the organisation cares for staff who experience difficulties at work, whether in respect of their conduct, performance, wellbeing or other concerns. Leading the development of People and Culture policies and practices to support a more people-centred, less process centred approach is key focus of the role. You will actively lead in the delivery of a highly specialist ER advisory and support service to managers in all areas of complex HR issues, providing professional advice and guidance whilst also overseeing the effective delivery of an HR Helpline, People and Culture Policy Framework and Job Evaluation Processes.
About You
This role is ideal for an HR professional who has experience in advising organisations on ER issues and people policies. To be successful in this role, you would need the following skills, knowledge and experience:
• Member of the CIPD / or equivalent qualification and / or evidence of equivalent knowledge and experience
• Ability to communicate confidently and influence senior stakeholders
• Experience of managing an ER caseload and advising on complex cases
• Ability to work quickly, accurately and to tight deadlines, managing casework across a directorate
• A detailed and up-to-date knowledge and understanding of employment legislation, HR policy and procedures and experience of interpreting and applying this to provide advice
