Job description


An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Operational Human Resources Team. It doesn’t matter if you’ve not worked in an HR department before or the NHS. We are looking for someone who is an enthusiastic and experienced administrator with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to complement the existing team.

This post offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the delivery of a proactive, effective and high-quality HR service.

Working as part of the team, you will provide HR admin support, including being the first point of contact for phone calls into the HR department, responding to queries by telephone, in person and email providing basic advice, signposting and redirecting queries.

You will be organised, adaptable and able to work quickly and accurately using a variety of platforms (face to face, telephone and/or virtual) whilst dealing with a range of day-to-day ongoing activities at the same time.

The successful candidate will be a confident communicator and have excellent organisational skills in order to manage a busy workload and balance changing priorities. They will be highly proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite and willing to learn and use other systems.

The Operational HR Team are part of the People Division. The team consists of a Chief People Officer, Deputy Chief People Officer, Head of People Services, Operational HR Service Lead, HR Managers, HR Advisors and an HR Administrator. The team work closely with staff at all levels of the organisation advising on all operational HR matters.
• To be the first point of contact for all HR queries via telephone, email, post and for visitors.
• To provide a comprehensive administrative service to the Operational Human Resources (HR) Team in order to assist in the achievement of departmental objectives.
• To provide advice in relation to Trust HR policies and Agenda for Change (AfC) National terms and conditions
