Job description
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to report reporting to the CEO of a fast growing manufacturing business based in Harrow. The role will be to lead and mentor a sales team in driving revenue growth within the private label sector. As sales manager , you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sale plans to achieve sales targets and objectives., providing guidance, support and motivation to ensure the attainment of individual and team goals.
This role requires a dynamic individual with a strong background in sales, account management and marketing, capable of developing and executing innovative plans to achieve revenue targets. Within this role you will be responsible for managing and leading the sales, account management and marketing teams as well managing a portfolio of existing clients and securing new clients in line with the business' strategic aims.
Key duties and responsibilities...
- Develop and execute sales strategies to penetrate target markets and propel growth within in existing customer to achieve sales goals.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, lead generation, and market research.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers to drive customer loyalty and satisfaction.
- Lead, Coach and mentor the sales team to optimize performance, productivity and professional development.
- Set clear sales targets, KPI’S and metrics for the team, and monitor performance against goals, taking corrective actions as needed.
- Lead the sales forecasting process and establish high levels of quality, accuracy, and consistency in planning, forecasting and budgeting. Develop and manage an effective sales pipeline to ensure delivery of agreed targets.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with technical, operations, and other teams to ensure alignment and maximise business outcomes. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, ethical practices, and company policies.
- Prepare and present regular Sales reports, forecasts and analysis to senior management highlighting key insights and recommendations. Effectively manage the sales pipeline
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in sales processes, tools and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations
- Develop and execute sales strategies to penetrate target markets and propel growth within in existing customer to achieve sales goals.
Requirements
- Strong leadership and people management abilities, capable of motivating and inspiring teams
- Strategic mindset with the ability to analyse data, identify trends and develop actionable insights.
- Proven experience in a senior sales role with a track record of achieving and exceeding targets
- In-depth knowledge of sales and marketing techniques, market trends, and customer behaviour
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders
- Results-oriented mindset with focus on driving revenue growth and profitability.
- Proficient in the use of CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel as needed to meet with customers, prospects, and attend industry events.
- Experience within manufacturing sectors (automotive sector or chemical sector would be beneficial)
- In depth knowledge and understanding white label sales models
This is an office based role - with travel to customer sites as and when needed (small amount of Global travel)
General office hours: 8am -4pm Monday to Friday
