Job description

What you will do in your working day

• Efficient use of systems including: Xero, Sage, Quick Books, Excel and Word
• Assisting with business accounts preparation, book-keeping, VAT and administrative work for Small to Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs)
• Assisting with nominal account reconciliations and posting journals
• The successful candidate will have good numeracy and literacy skills and a certain amount of confidence would be helpful as you will be expected to visit clients on audit
• Performing effectively to meet targets and deadlines, reporting directly to one of the existing accounts seniors

The training you will be getting

• Level 3 Assistant Accountant apprenticeship standard:
• AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting
• 20% off the job training at Newcastle College (ST5 2GB)

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
