This particular role is a year around post for our Afterschool and Holiday care club. The hours of work are from the end of the school day until 5:45pm Monday-Friday with the option of 2-3 full days during school holiday periods. .
Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will be involved in planning and resource building on a monthly basis to carry out a variety of activities for the children.
- The applicant will work as part of a small team to set up daily activities for the children in our care to create a fun environment.
- The applicant will work as part of a team to complete daily risk assessments and ensure a healthy safe environment is in operation at all times.
- The applicant will communicant effectively with other staff members and families attending our setting. The will be able to transfer information to parents/carers at collection.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- We welcome all applicants qualified, currently studying or wishing to study their level 5 in Leadership & management in a childcare setting.
- All applicants must hold a minimum Level 2 and/or 3 qualification in Childcare or similar.
- The applicant must be able to drive and have access to a car for local school collections. They will work as part of a team collecting children from 3 local schools (within a 1 mile vicinity) and help bring them safely back to our setting.
Desirable Skills
- Core training such as First Aid, Child Protection and Health & Safety is desired however an opportunity for completing these will be available within 6 months of starting this post.
