Job description
Opus People Solutions are seeking a Governance Professional Manager on lead a team of clerks in the Ipswich area.
Due to winning new contracts, our award winning client is looking to bring more staff on board. And you could be their newest colleague!
Our client works hybrid and flexibly . What that means to them is that 2 days per week you'll be in the office and the other 3 you'll be at home.
You will be part of their Governor Services management team and will receive training and ongoing support to ensure that you can fulfil the role effectively. They'll even sponsorship your Academy Governance Certificate if you would like!
Here is what you'll you be doing day to day :
- Day to day co-ordination of allocation of governance professionals to boards, resolving problems as required.
- Line manage a team of governance professionals.
- Monitor the performance of governance professionals assuring quality of service provision.
- Manage the recruitment and induction of new governance professionals.
- Mentor governance professionals to develop high quality practice.
- Prepare and deliver presentations and training to governance professionals.
- Produce exemplar minutes, agenda and checklists as required each term.
- Write briefing notes for governance professionals.
- Develop expertise in school and academy governance through attending training and development events and activities.
- Act as first point of contact for governance professionals, providing advice and guidance on procedures, legislation and best practice.
- Provide advice and guidance on the helpline to governors, trustees and headteachers.
