Job description

Are you an experienced veterinary surgeon seeking a warm and friendly team to join? Look no further, because we want to hear from you!
We're currently offering a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Small Animal Vet to join our thriving team.
At our practice, our clinical team is like a close-knit family. Led by our passionate Head Vet, our team comprises 5 skilled vets, including a medicine certificate holder, and 5 talented nurses with specialized certificates in feline nursing, behavior, and anesthesia. Together, we've built a reputation for excellence, not only in the eyes of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) Practice Standards, which we proudly hold accreditation from, but also among our local community. From the moment our clients step through the door, they experience our friendly and helpful service, from reception to the vet and beyond.
While the role is full time, spread across 4 days, with just 1 weekend in every 5 (with time off in lieu the week before and the week after), we're open to hearing from candidates seeking part-time or flexible hours to suit their outside commitments. We believe in fostering a healthy work-life balance.
In return for joining our exceptional practice, which is conveniently located on the outskirts of Cheltenham, we offer a generous salary of up to £60,000 FTE, commensurate with your experience. You'll also enjoy a range of benefits, including 5.6 weeks of holiday, compassionate leave for the loss of a beloved pet, extended compassionate leave for family bereavement, private health cover, life assurance, a contributory pension scheme, and paid memberships to professional bodies such as the RCVS, BVA, and VDS. Plus, we're dedicated to supporting your ongoing professional development with a generous CPD allowance, encouraging you to pursue areas of specialist interest.
Our practice is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including dental x-ray capabilities and separate wards for cats, dogs, and isolation cases. We even have a dedicated nurse consult room to provide comprehensive care to our patients. And let's not forget, we have a fantastic team of support staff, including student nurses, VCAs, client care advisors, and our experienced practice manager. We also benefit from the occasional visit from a peripatetic imaging specialist and a traveling orthopedic surgeon, ensuring our patients receive the highest level of care.
To top it all off, we offer additional perks such as the cycle to work scheme, access to Colleague Assistance Programmes, and exclusive company discounts and rewards.
If you're an experienced, forward-thinking team player with excellent communication skills, as well as strong general surgical and medical abilities, then this is the opportunity you've been waiting for.
Don't hesitate! Contact Jordan at Purovets today on 01904 570056 or at [email protected] in order to discuss this fantastic opportunity
