One of the nation’s largest retailers is branching out into the world of optics and is looking for an Assistant Manager to join an experienced Optical Manager and a small team of Optical Assistants to help grow and develop this exciting new business that launched in October 2023.To apply for this role you MUST have Optics experience, and have previous management/ supervisory experience.
Assistant Manager PositionA very exciting opportunity has become available for an Assistant Manager to join a brand-new practice in Leeds. They have an experienced Optical Manager and an Optometrist in place and they are looking to add a personable and enthusiastic Assistant Manager to their team. As a brand-new business, you will spend your first couple of weeks in training getting to know your team and systems, this store launched in October 2023 and is developing very well. You will work a longisde a full and big team.
Responsibilities of the Assistant ManagerThe role will entail dispensing spectacles to all levels, conducting pre-screen tests and contact lens teaches. You will also be required to carry out frame styling and give patients advice on their options. More importantly, you will guide your team to be the best they can be, working with a team of four experienced Optical Assistants, you will be on hand to support and motivate the team towards targets and KPI’s. Ideally, you will have previous supervisory or team leader experience and be confident to troubleshoot any problems on the shop floor.
Requirements of the Assistant ManagerMy client is looking for applicants with previous optical experience with previous supervisory experience and the ability to dispense glasses to all levels. You will have a friendly and personable demeanour with a strong personal work ethic. It’s essential you have a customer-focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.
Compensation for the Assistant ManagerFor your efforts, a competitive salary + monthly performance bonus. You will need to be flexible to work weekends and late nights (until 7 pm). You will also have the opportunity to receive some further training and join a professional team in a fun and relaxed environment.
