About the role
As a key member of the Scotch Governance team, the successful candidate will provide advice and support to sites across Scotland ensuring they remain compliant to all relevant environmental regulations and Diageo policies and standards.
Key points you would be responsible for are:
Track and analyse key data metrics for sites
Supporting, Diageo's 'beyond compliance' 2030 sustainability goals - Key topics such as air emissions and waste regulations and key involvement is anticipated in Diageo’s net zero ambitions and in strengthening our biodiversity and water stewardship credentials.
Support collaborator visits to site such as SEPA and support the management of any actions.
Investigates, reports and drives improvement actions following any Environmental incidents.
Share findings and standard methodology across sites.
Ultimately, being a key adviser on environmental issues and finding opportunities to improve both compliance and sustainability is fundamental to this role.
About You
Do you have a passion for meeting high expectations ? Is your understanding of, and experience in environmental regulations second to none? If so this might just be the role for you!
Bringing with you a well developed awareness of current and upcoming policy will be key in advising Scotch of potential business impacts and implications. Knowledge of carbon reduction and net zero technologies, water stewardship, circular economy and biodiversity action planning would also be beneficial to supporting success in this role.
Data handling and external insights are paramount to providing real support and improvement across our sites.
A full driving licence is required in order to travel to different sites, principally in North Scotland but occasionally more widely in Scotland.
