This school based in Southwark are looking for a School Business Manager to join their leadership team. The School Business Manager role has wide-ranging aspects including significant responsibility for all aspects of Budget, Finance, Premises, Administration, HR, Commercial Lettings, Domestic Services and Health and Safety.
School Business Manager summary: - School Business Manager salary is £50k-£55k.
- Act as the school’s leading support staff professional and work as part of the Senior Leadership Team to assist the Headteacher in their duty to ensure that the school meets its educational aims.
- To take responsibility for providing professional leadership and management of school support staff in partnership with teaching staff, to enhance their effectiveness in order to achieve improved standards of learning and achievement in the school, through support to the Headteacher and colleagues.
- To promotes the highest standards of business ethos within the administrative function of the school and strategically ensures the most effective use of resources in support of the school’s learning objectives.
- To be responsible for the management of Financial Resources, Administration, Human Resources, Reception, Health & Safety, ICT network.
School Business Manager requirements: - Degree level qualification & School Business Manager qualification/Accountancy qualification.
- Experience in financial management and reporting including budget and management accounts preparation.
- Strong understanding of effective accounting systems and controls.
- Able to influence decision making within the school.
- Willingness to be flexible around working hours to meet the needs of the school.
- Ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people.
