We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team in support of a globally successful aerospace manufacturer of sub-systems and precision components based in the Coventry area on a permanent or contract basis.

The Role


The Quality Engineer will support the implementation of materials and process methods and solutions, from original concept through to production. Responsibilities include:

• Deploying processes with a high degree of process capability.
• Technical support of manufacturing development and integration for production.
• Resolving issue pertaining to vendor quality.
• Providing specialist knowledge to production activities with the goal of improving efficiency, product quality and the reduction of non-conforming parts.
• Monitoring of production by both test and audit ensuring a robust process selection, implementation, and control.
• Ensuring engineering issues are resolved to achieve production customer delivery dates and targets.
• Ability to produce detailed Bill of Materials.

The Person


The Quality Engineer must be familiar with design processes (preference on Aero-Engine components and assemblies) given the nature of the business and be able to interact seamlessly with both internal and external stakeholders based overseas.


You will be fully conversant utilising various computer systems / software (ideally SAP) whereby you will collaboratively engage daily with your Project / Team Leader and peers. A high level of integrity & good working ethic will be required at all times to ensure the team generates continuous improvement ideas to reduce waste and 'Cost of Poor Quality'.





Experience Required for the Quality Engineer:

• Educated to Degree level or relevant experience.
• Operated in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
• Able to create work instructions and associated processes.
• Excellent communication skills in order to liaise with sister company on parts transfer.
• Relevant experience in: Quality Management System, Part Qualification (QA), Non-Conformance Management, and/or Continuous Improvement (Development).
• Excel / PowerPoint / Outlook – intermediate / advanced user (macros, pivot tables, VB Coding – noteworthy).
• Entering, probing, and extracting technical data within a MRP / ERP system (SAP preferred).
• Self-motivated, disciplined, and organised - with ability to focus on semi-repetitive tasks .
