Role overview of a Curriculum Manager:
Trigon Recruitment are recruiting for a reputable national training provider for a Curriculum Manager. As a Curriculum Manager within a justice contract which is covering HMP The Mount, HMP Bedford and HMP Norwich, you play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and managing educational programs aimed at rehabilitating and empowering individuals within the justice system. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that the curriculum aligns with the goals of rehabilitation, skill development, and successful reintegration into society. This role combines educational expertise with a commitment to social justice and the well-being of individuals involved in the justice system.
Main duties of the Curriculum Manager :-
· Provide first line management to a small team of prison-based tutors including resource planning.
· Day to day operational management of provision to ensure retention, achievement, success, and attendance rates to meet contractual and internal targets.
· Act as first point of contact for day-to-day liaison with prisons in relation to staffing, rooms, timetabling and resources.
· Manage resources and equipment availability.
· To support and manage a culture of continuous improvement in quality of education and learner experience including providing coaching and appropriate supervision for tutors.
· Provide accurate and up to date data and information to management team.
· Working closely with the Employer Engagement team to facilitate employer contact and contribution to courses.
· Contribute to development of, and ensure adherence with, a range of processes and standard operating models in order to achieve contractual, compliance and quality targets.
· Contribute to quality management of provision, including self-assessment and quality improvement planning.
· Contribute to curriculum review and ongoing development to ensure high quality, engaging curricula that promote active learning and meet employer and learner needs.
· Provide tutor cover when required.
Key skills and attributes required for the Curriculum Manager:-
· Teaching qualification at L3 or above.
· Experience of operational management in education or training setting.
· Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
· Experience of quality management or development of tutors or provision.
· Experience of curriculum development in Ofsted aligned provision.
