Step Teachers are currently looking for a ‘Drama Teacher’ for a full-time role at a ‘Good’ secondary school in Croydon, South London.

This is a "Good" OFSTED-rated school and one which Step Teachers has worked with for many years. The school is seeking a Drama Teacher who will readily engage with the school’s ethos and values. This Drama Teacher role is open to experienced and ECT Teachers.

Role:

• Good knowledge of the drama curriculum at all key stages.
• Maintain an organised and professional classroom with all the associated resources.
• Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school.
• Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback.
• Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these.

Requirements:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification for teaching in secondary school.
• Have recent mainstream school-based experience as a Drama Teacher at secondary school level.
• Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management.
• A relevant drama or creative arts related degree is desirable.
• SEND experience is also desirable.
