Job description
The role is at a well-known engineering company who specialise in the design, manufacture, and supply of tactical military bridges and other related engineering services. As a Field Service Representative you will Support On-Site Customer Equipment Failure Inspection, Diagnosis, Maintenance, Repairs & Warranty Work.
Tasks
- Diagnostics, maintenance and repair of military vehicles and equipment, on-site and in the field, in compliance with Company technical service and statutory regulations
- Independent deployment at a customer’s site, with responsibility for order processing and contractual documentation
- Deployment worldwide (potential for)
- Compliance with and monitoring of statutory regulations, in particular those involving safety at work and environmental protection
- Responsible for the preparation of safe & compliant work sites, tools & materials
- Independent management of a facility in collaboration with a technical team
- Delivery of training tasks, internally and externally with customer community
- Customer care & satisfaction
- Execution of fault-finding, defect diagnosis, planned & un-planned maintenance and repair work at all relevant stages
- Accurate completion of all documentation inclusive of jobsheets and work orders
- Generation of work breakdown structures, cost estimates, and performance specifications
- Training and instructing new employees
Requirements
- C&G Heavy Vehicle Repair level 3 (or equivalent)
- Military vehicle technical / maintenance experience (desirable)
- Test authorisation for technical tests specified by the statutory authorities
- Driving licence Class C (HGV2) minimum (desirable)
- Experience in vehicle inspection, maintenance & repair, ideally in the field of military equipment, heavy commercial vehicles, construction machinery, agricultural machinery or specialist vehicle manufacture
- Experience in completion of relevant technical documentation and paperwork as dictated by industry
- Skill and experience in the operation of automotive diagnostic equipment, diagnostic fault finding and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of English language, written and spoken
- Basic knowledge of German language (desirable)
- Good PC skills, particularly with the common MS Office applicationsRecent exposure to electronic fleet management systems (desirable)
