Information Architect

Location : Remote with travel to end customer sites and Civica London/Bristol offices

Applicants will ideally hold SC Clearance but it will be essential to gain SC so 5 years UK residency is essential

Civica is seeking an experienced Information Architect to join our Central Government Business Unit. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping the information landscape, focusing on content and records management. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of information architecture, strong skills in content and records management, and proficiency in utilizing systems such as SharePoint. This is a permanent position that requires occasional travel to an Andover customer site.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Information Architecture: Design and implement effective information architectures to support the our client's business objectives, ensuring seamless access to critical information.
  2. Content and Records Management: Oversee the development and maintenance of content and records management systems, with a focus on optimizing efficiency and compliance.
  3. SharePoint Expertise: Utilize advanced skills in SharePoint to enhance collaboration, document management, and information sharing within the organization.
  4. Metadata Management: Implement and maintain metadata management processes, ensuring accurate and consistent metadata across various systems.
  5. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand information needs, promote collaboration, and facilitate effective communication within the Central Government Business Unit.
  6. Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on information management best practices, ensuring proper utilization of systems and adherence to established protocols.
  7. Policy Compliance: Stay abreast of information management policies and regulations, ensuring adherence to relevant standards and guidelines.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Proven experience in information architecture, content management, and records management.
  2. Strong expertise in SharePoint and other relevant content management systems.
  3. Experience in metadata management and ensuring data quality.
  4. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  5. Ability to analyze complex information needs and translate them into effective information solutions.
  6. Architecture qualifications such as TOGAF
