Job description

Supporter Fundraising Manager – Scotland

£38,648 - £43,918 per annum plus allowances

Full time, 35 hours per week

Are you looking for a role within an organisation where the work you do makes a real difference to people's lives? Are you looking to develop your fundraising experience with a sector leading team? If the answer is yes than our Supporter Fundraising Manager role in Scotland could be for you.

Every childhood is worth fighting for. This is our belief. We all share it. And it drives our Fundraising team to get out there and bring in the funds we need to protect children and prevent abuse. Join us as the Supporter Fundraising Manager for Scotland, and get more people involved in change that means everything.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the community fundraising team for the NSPCC across Scotland. We are looking for someone who can maximise the opportunities by which Community and Events fundraising can contribute to the NSPCC's mission of ending cruelty to children.

Building from an established fundraising platform, the Supporter Fundraising Manager is responsible for line-managing the community fundraising team, maximising organisational efficiency and for increasing our supporter base and volunteer networks to enable growth in fundraising income.

The Supporter Fundraising Manager will work alongside the Partnership and Philanthropy Team in Scotland and closely with other NSPCC colleagues within fundraising, and but also within Services, Campaigning, Marketing and Policy so the most effective use of our resources can be made, and we can protect as many children and young people as possible.

This role will prioritise the provision of outstanding supporter journeys and be responsible for developing plans, setting targets, and managing the effective performance of their fundraising team, leading to first class supporter care, the generation of new volunteers and delivery of growth in volunteer-led group fundraising in Scotland.

About You

Ideally with experience gained in a community fundraising environment in Scotland and with knowledge of the sector here, you will have highly developed leadership, line management, communication and team building skills; working well with others as part of a team, giving support, and recognising expertise in others with an excellent ability to successfully motivate others to achieve desired outcomes.

This is a fast-paced environment so you should be a self-starter, able to work independently and be comfortable with working under pressure. This is a homebased role in Scotland, with ease of travel to our Glasgow HQ and requires regular travel in Scotland and to NSPCC offices in the UK. It will also require some evening and weekend working.

This is a real opportunity to make a difference to children's lives, but we also like to reward people by offering a great working environment, being part of a friendly and supportive team, and offering stimulating and challenging work, with plenty of development opportunities.  We offer a variety of rewards and benefits including; generous annual leave, employee benefits and assistance programme, pension and life assurance schemes.

Join us at this exciting time and you'll become part of an expanding team that cares about the work they do and the people they work with. You'll discover opportunities to grow, along with challenges and a shared purpose that'll bring the best out in you. And you'll get to find your own way to make a difference that means more, and that impacts thousands of young lives. We want to ensure roles are accessible and inclusive of everyone, which is why the NSPCC offers flexibility around ways of working.

Interviews are expected to be in mid/ late March 2024.
